Henry James Wilson is one of the newest and most promising additions to the Los Angeles art scene. Born and raised in rural Northern Nevada, he began to explore the world of portrait and conceptual fashion photography at the age of thirteen. His unique eye for finding and bringing focus to the hidden qualities of a person that often cannot be captured was quickly recognized, and as the years have progressed, his work has truly come into it’s own right.

Despite his age, Wilson carries himself with a mature confidence and gentility, and as an artistic director he is able to convey a clear vision and guide his subjects with ease and candor, maintaining a positive creative environment for all involved in his projects.

His work as a whole has a certain youthful elegance, as he dabbles in his fascination with fairytales, and breathing life into the classics. Many of his pieces are inspired by the literature and mythology of his childhood, and he portrays these imaginary worlds and dreams overlayed with a hint of realism and grit.

The creativity and playfulness in his use of angles, light, and color, paired with his symmetry in composition surely set him apart as a young artist dedicated to honesty and simplicity.

"Nothing excites me more than completing a piece. The limitless possibilities that I have at my fingertips through photography is a magical thing. ...That I can create anything. Just that- so simple: I can create anything I want to. I can show [you] the vision in my mind.” - HJW
